The primary uses of this product, including its healing properties, are a direct result of its high salicylic acid content.

It is a chemical compound of organic origin, which is characterized by a tendency to enter into numerous reactions with other substances. In this particular case, which is bleaching clothes, this acid penetrates deep into white or colored fabrics, removing stains and making the clothes look like new.

Aspirin is especially recommended for white T-shirts or blouses that clearly show yellow patches of sweat.

How should you use aspirin to remove stains from clothing and ensure that it is bleached?

You may be completely unaware of this, but the fact is that the best solution for efficient washing and bleaching of your white clothes is usually tucked away somewhere in the back of your home medicine cabinet.

The aspirin procedure described here is a great way to restore the snow-white color of your underwear or remove dark stains from colored clothes.

Ingredients

  • 5 aspirins, at doses of 325 mg
  • 2 liters of water

Procedure

  • As soon as you notice that your clothes are gradually becoming grayer or yellowish in color, you should dissolve five tablets of 325 mg of aspirin in two liters of warm water and soak the garment in the obtained specificity.
  • It’s a good idea to crush the tablets first before adding them to hot water.
  • Also, make sure your clothes are soaked for at least eight hours or simply left overnight.
  • Make sure each piece of cloth is fully submerged in the water, and if it does not, increase the amount of water while adding another dissolved aspirin tablet.
  • Another convenient way to bleach clothes is to add all five aspirin tablets to the washing machine before running the wash cycle.
  • But you need to make sure that the medicine dissolves in the water first.
  • After the recommended soaking time, remove the garment from the liquid, wash it normally in the washing machine, remembering to set the maximum rinse level. Then, the optimal solution is to hang the clothes to dry in the sun.

What if there are traces of blood on my clothes?

Be careful if there are blood stains on your clothes! In this case, you must dissolve the aspirin in cold water before soaking the clothes.

Blood stains
  • Do not use the warm water method in this case. This way, you will cause the proteins that make up the blood to penetrate deeper into the fabric. This will make the entire stain much more difficult, and in many cases even impossible to remove.
  • Remember to soak the garment in cold water. And if the stain is dry, you can also rub the powdered aspirin directly into it.
  • Leave it all for a few hours so that the acetylsalicylic acid can react with the blood and then wash the clothes as usual.
  • It’s likely that you won’t be able to completely eliminate the brown or reddish tinge the first time.
  • But in this case, repeated aspirin whitening will allow the stain to lighten gradually, and eventually it will disappear completely.
  • However, avoid using several different chemical products at the same time, because their combined action may weaken the fabric and cause irreversible damage to its structure.
  • Be patient and repeat the same method several times until you get the results you want.

Have you ever tried to use the properties of aspirin to wash your clothes?

Now that you know that it is a great trick to effectively whiten your favorite clothes, you can use it whenever you need to remove some of the more stubborn stains.

Follow the recommendations we presented above and you will see for yourself that this is a great alternative to other, more complicated and expensive methods of whitening your white clothes.
